WordLock Stor-More Key Safe

With so many parents working many kids go home from school to an empty house, so they’re given a key to take with them to school so they can get inside when they get home.  I work as a substitute teacher, and I’ve lost count of the times I’ve had a student get upset because they had lost that key.  A key is so easy to loose.  Especially when it’s kept anywhere other than a safe spot in a backpack.  Yet families don’t seem to find that the safest place.  The end result is a lost key and a child that is locked out of their house when they get home.  Most parents figure they don’t have any other choice though.  They either try to find a safe spot to hide the key outside (which isn’t a very good plan), or they pray that their child isn’t the one to loose the house key at school.  Thanks to WordLock though this doesn’t have to be a problem anymore with their Stor-More Key Safe!

The Stor-More Key Safe reminds me of a lock box that realtors use when they’re selling a house.  It’s a safe that hangs from the doorknob, this one is also mountable though.  The top is made of solid aluminum, and the bottom cavity is made of stainless steal.  When you hold the lock you’ll know it’s safe because you can feel just how thick and heavy it is.  Like all WordLock products you unlock the lock by turning the dials to form the correct word.  There are so many letters that there are 10,000 letter combinations that can be made!  Using a word on your lock makes it easier for you to remember, and yet still makes it safe from others trying to use it.  The lock cavity is spacious and can hold up to 30 standard size keys giving it plenty of room for you to put your house key in.  This way it will always be available to your child when they come home from school which means that you won’t have to send the key with them any longer.  You could also put a garage door opener in there if you didn’t want to leave a key.

The Stor-More Key Safe has so many uses.  Certainly it helps in keeping keys safe for your kids to use, but you could also mount it on the outside wall and always have a spare key in there.  How many times have you locked yourself out of the house?  It used to happen to us a lot, but our current door only locks from the inside with the door shut, so we luckily don’t have that problem any more.  There have been a few times that Jason hasn’t been able to find his keys though and I’ve had to hide one, or leave the door open for him late at night.  I’ve never felt real comfortable with that, but now I won’t have to worry about it any more!  You also could use it to store a key for someone to use if they’re watching your house when you’re away on vacation.  It’s just so useful!

I was so excited when I found out that I was going to get to review the WordLock Stor-More Key Safe.  I’m also excited because I get to give one to a lucky reader!  This truly is a little safe that  you want to have, so go ahead and enter the giveaway!  Good luck!

I would use it for my kids, who always seem to either forget or lose their house keys.
