Fun In The Sun: The End Of Summer
All good things must come to an end. What a sad philosophy. I am always sad when Summer draws to a close. It truly is my favorite season, so I never want it to end, and even worse is the fact that the end of it means the start of the school year. Of course it also means that cold weather is approaching. Ick! I am so not ready for Winter!
Having an upcoming Fall trip planned though makes the end of Summer bittersweet this year. I of course don’t want it to end, yet here I am counting the days until vacation, and while those days seem to be flying by in some ways they aren’t going fast enough. I really need a vacation. Of course going on a cruise to Mexico will give me another taste of Summer. Now that I really won’t want to end. It’s hard to return home when you know snowflakes aren’t far away. OK, no more cold thoughts!
This past Summer has been very busy, and man was it hot, but it was a really nice Summer. Nick and I spent so much time outside going for walks and playing. I don’t think I have spent as much time outside as I did this Summer since I was Nick’s age. Nick also had such a blast with his pool. It’s sad to think that it’s about time to put it away. I mean come on his swimsuit still doesn’t even fit right yet! He’s so thin that the suit (even though it’s 12 months) is still huge in the waist. Of course our outing to Greenfield Village with Jason was wonderful too. We certainly filled the months with some great memories.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Summer as well. The beautiful days really slip by so fast. Now if only the Winter could go by as fast, or even faster.

winter seems to be hanging around this year. it was so nice and sunny today, now windy and rain. the summer does go by fast. every year I plan to do so much, but then it’s so hot some days!
Vacation will be great. I wonder what he will think of Mickey Mouse?
